Bishop Kelvin Simmons

Bishop Kelvin Simmons serves as the Co-Pastor of Immanuel Praise Fellowship in Rancho Cucamonga alongside his wife, Prophetess La Quetta Simmons. Known for his exceptional teaching and preaching, Bishop Simmons believes in presenting the Word of God in a thorough yet simple manner, ensuring that everyone can access and understand Christ.


Bishop Simmons earned his bachelor's degree from the University of La Verne and attended at the International School of Theology. He was licensed as a preacher in September 1997 and ordained in August 2007 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pomona, CA, under the leadership of Pastor William E. Tyler.

In October 2019, he was consecrated as a Bishop by Apostle Kodjoe Sumney of Mission Africa Inc. Currently, he is actively involved in building a church for the members of Immanuel Praise Fellowship in the village of Pampose, West Africa.


Bishop Simmons' journey is a testament to his resilience and determination. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, he faced and overcame numerous challenges that are all too common for young men in similar communities. His personal experiences fuel his commitment to creating environments
where healthy Black families cannot just survive but thrive.

Bishop Simmons' commitment to community building is evident in his extensive involvement with the IAF and PICO networks. His life's work is dedicated to creating spaces where youth can flourish and everyday people can have a voice. His efforts have been recognized with numerous honors and awards, a testament to the impact he has made in his community. Currently, Bishop Simmons holds several leadership roles that reflect his diverse skills and capabilities.

He serves as the President of the Inland Empire Concerned African American Churches
(IECAAC) and is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated – Mu Xi Lambda
Chapter where he serves as Chaplain. He is also the founder of Levitical Training, a program that
guides men to live intentionally as Priests, Prophets, Protectors, and Providers. His published work as a co-author in medical and psychological journals, addressing the three-tiered approach to address barriers to COVID-19 vaccine delivery in the Black community, further demonstrates his expertise and dedication.

While she wears many titles, the roles of wife to Bishop Kelvin Simmons and mother to Kandace Iman are closest to her heart. Professionally, she has led four non-profit organizations and served in leadership and advisory capacities for more than 13 cultural and service-oriented organizations.

Prophetess Simmons founded the Titus 2 Women Wisdom Circle Gathering, a significant spiritual initiative established to reestablish the multi-generational circle of communication and teaching critical to womanhood development. God desires to renew the power, love, and bond between generations of women, and the Titus2 Circle seeks to fulfill that calling.

  Prophetess Simmons's  dedication and impact have been widely recognized, inspiring and motivating others. She has been named twice as the Outstanding Volunteer for the Pomona Valley Human Relations Council; listed in the International Who's Who of Professionals; honored with the Woman of Achievement Award from the YWCA; received the Celebration of Excellence Award in Religion from the Inland Valley News; recognized as a Woman of Distinction by Assembly Member Bill Emmerson; awarded a 2003 Leaders of Distinction Award by the Business Press News Magazine; and featured in Apartment Professional Magazine as one of 14 top women executives in the industry.

  A certified life coach and the Founder/CEO of Simmons Consulting and Training Services, Prophetess Simmons also serves as the Board Chair and Chief Administrative Officer of Project Fighting Chance, working to ensure every child has a fighting chance. She is the author of Like Pure Gold: A Woman's Handbook to Obtaining and Sustaining Holiness, co-hosts and co- produces “Our Turn,” a talk show on the Hosanna Broadcasting Network.

KANDACE SIMMONS

At just 25 years old, Kandace Simmons embodies resilience, faith, and dedication in everything she pursues. Deaf/Hard of hearing since the age of one, Kandace has never allowed this challenge to define her limits or dampen her spirit.

As the first daughter of Immanuel Praise Fellowship, Kandace is deeply involved in numerous ministries that showcase her passion for service and worship. She is an active member of "Ordered Steps," the church's praise dance ministry, where she expresses her devotion through movement. Kandace also serves as an usher, welcoming congregants with her warm smile, and participates in the Point of Grace and Divine Living ministries, further demonstrating her commitment to her faith community' mental and physical well-being.

Kandace is a lupus warrior, having been diagnosed at the age of 15. Despite managing this chronic autoimmune disease for a decade, she approaches each day with determination and a positive outlook. Beyond her personal battle, Kandace is an active advocate for the lupus community. She organizes and participates in lupus walks to raise funds for research and treatment. Additionally, she spreads awareness by sharing "30 Days of Lupus Facts" on her church's GroupMe and across all her social media platforms, educating others about this often misunderstood condition.
